PROSSER, Wash. — The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has hired Aaron Schulenburg as the association’s executive director. He will begin his new duties on Jan. 5, 2009.
Schulenburg currently serves as the administrator of the Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG). He has previously worked for repair facilities in Arizona, Delaware and Maryland, and held positions as an executive officer of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA), a director of the National Auto Body Council (NABC) and has also been a guest speaker before numerous state and regional associations, business development groups, annual corporate conferences and at both national and regional forums.
In his most recent position, Schulenburg was contracted to provide administration of the DEG that is a historic joint initiative developed and initially funded and managed equally by SCRS, ASA and AASP. The DEG enables collision repair estimating database users to provide feedback to information providers in a public manner and promote data accuracy.
Schulenburg is just the third person to hold the title of executive director for SCRS in its 25 year history. Dan Risley held the position for eight years, while John Loftus served as the first executive director for 17 years.
