Timken Releases New Tech Series CD

The Timken Co. yesterday announced the release of its new Tech Series Automotive and Heavy-Duty Aftermarket Training and Resource CD (version 1.4). Version 1.4 is the latest edition of its interactive training tool. An online version of the resource kit is also available.

Executive Interview with Tony Battaglia, Director of Marketing for Permatex

BP Introduces New CJ-4 Compliant Heavy-Duty Engine Oil

BP Lubricants USA Inc., has introduced a new formulation for Castrol Hypuron, a high-performance semi-synthetic diesel engine oil product designed for heavy-duty engines. The lubricant, formerly known as "Hypuron S," now complies with the new on-road industry standards for 2007 which require further control of exhaust emissions.

Boston-based Ad Agency Wins $25 Million Jiffy Lube International Account

Boston-based advertising agency MMB has won a $25 million account from Jiffy Lube International, continuing its relationship as the company’s agency of record. MMB has handled the Jiffy Lube advertising program since 2001 but the account was put up for review earlier this year. MMB’s most recent work for Jiffy Lube International featured real Jiffy Lube customers who shared their stories about how Jiffy Lube preventive maintenance services help them keep their busy lives on track. The campaign, which broke in April 2006, included TV, radio and print executions.

ConocoPhillips Celebrates 125th Anniversary of Kendall Motor Oil Brand

Kendall Motor Oil, a brand of the ConocoPhillips Co. is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. Founded in 1881 in Bradford, PA, the Kendall Refining Company relied upon innovative manufacturing to produce passenger car and heavy-duty engine oils under what is known today as the Kendall Motor Oil brand. Ray Evernham Speaks at Valvapoolza

Ray Evernham, president and CEO of Evernham Motorsports, recently spoke at the Ashland/Valvoline New Product Development Laboratory in Lexington, KY, as part of Valvoline’s “ Valvapalooza 2006: FutureTech” event. The company has joined forces with Evernham to form Valvoline Evernham Racing. Timken Announces New Training Program for Students

The Timken Co. has joined with Tomorrow’s Technician magazine, to bring its training information to more than 52,000 students across the U.S. In May, Timken provided its technical training DVD “Removing and Installing a Hub Bearing Assembly” to the subscribers of Tomorrow’s Technician, which is provided to approximately 1,000 NATEF-certified schools. The magazine is distributed to students in secondary and post-secondary automotive, heavy-duty and PBE studies.
