ATK Names Dan Belling President

Dan Belling, vice president of sales and marketing for ATK North America, has been promoted to the position of president. As president, Belling will be responsible for all of ATK’s U.S. operations. ATK North America is part of the VEGE Group, an international remanufacturing organization specializing in replacement engines and transmissions for passenger cars and light trucks.

AWDA Names Larry Northup to Direct Segment at AAIA

The Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) has appointed Larry Northup to direct its day-to-day operations, as a segment of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA). AWDA joined forces with AAIA in January 2004. Northup, who currently serves as senior director of segment management at AAIA, immediately assumes the role of AWDA liaison. Working closely with the AWDA volunteer leadership and AAIA’s professional staff, he will be responsible for coordinating the segment’s membership marketing and recruitment activities, meetings and conferences, including the annual one-on-one meetings, government relations and communications.

Fenwick Automotive Products Founder Passes Away

Reuben Fenwick, founder of Fenwick Automotive Products, died on Wednesday, March 17. He was 79-years-old. Fenwick founded the remanufacturing business in 1949. The business, which began as a small two-man operation, grew to become one of North America’s leading remanufacturing businesses. Today, the business includes a production facility in Toronto that employs 800, in addition to six warehouses in Canada and one in the U.S.
