NGK Spark Plugs Hires Three District Sales Managers

NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.) has hired Randy Anderson, John Edlund and Ralph Herrold to serve as district sales managers for the company. Anderson, a 24-year veteran in the automotive aftermarket industry, was previously with Genuine Parts Co. and served as the new markets manager. In his new role, Anderson will be responsible for the sales efforts for NGK in Florida and Georgia. He will report to Peter Daley, eastern zone manager for NGK Spark Plugs’ Aftermarket Division.

Top 20 Super Stores

After several years of mega mergers among the nation’s largest store owners, 2007 proved to be an anomaly: Among the 20 largest store chains in the U.S, not a single one was acquired. That’s not to insinuate that acquisitions didn’t occur; in fact, 2006 posted the greatest overall store count growth for the top 20 store chains in the last five years. As a group, total store counts grew by more than six percent.
