2005 Edelbrock Catalog Now Available

The 2005 catalog from Edelbrock Corp. is now available. The catalog features more than 100 new products for off-road, racing, street rods and street performance. Among the new products for 2005 are two types of product coating, heat-resistant Ti-TECH and EnduraShine, which delivers an aluminum-looking show-quality shine.

Corteco Announces Second Edelbrock Engine Winner

Vic Edelbrock, Jr., president and CEO of Edelbrock Corp., joined with Corteco at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis last month, to draw the name of the second winner in the first Edelbrock Engine Sweepstakes.

Vic Edelbrock, Jr. to Receive Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award

Hotrod & Restoration (HHR) magazine and Robert Petersen have announced Vic Edelbrock, Jr. as the fourth recipient of the Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award. Launched in 2002 at the HRR show, the inaugural Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to NHRA founder Wally Parks. The award was presented to Carroll Shelby in 2003 and George Barris in 2004. Petersen selects the annual recipient based upon the candidate’s contributions to the evolution and prosperity of specialized automobiles. The trophy, a bronze sculpture by automotive artist Steve Posson, aptly titled “Running at the Lakes,” is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Edelbrock Corp. to Become Privately Held

Edelbrock Corp. stockholders and the company’s chairman, president and CEO Vic Edelbrock, Jr., have approved the proposed merger to make Edelbrock Corp. a privately-held company. Founded in 1938, Torrance, Calif.-based Edelbrock Corp. designs, manufactures and distributes performance replacement parts for the automotive and motorcycle aftermarkets.

Edelbrock Moves Forward with Plan to Go Private

Edelbrock Corp. will hold a special stockholder meeting on Dec. 22 to consider a proposal to approve and adopt a plan previously announced on June 25 that would make Edelbrock a privately held company. If approved, stockholders of Edelbrock Corp. will receive $16.75 per share in cash in exchange for each share of Edelbrock common stock.

Corteco Announces Winner of First Edelbrock Engine Sweepstakes

The automotive aftermarket converged in Las Vegas during the first week of November for the industry’s annual AAPEX trade show. This year at the show, Edelbrock, one of the most famous names in automotive performance, teamed up with Corteco, the aftermarket business of Freudenberg-NOK, to give away the first of two performance engines, sealed exclusively by Corteco.

Edelbrock Reports Results for First Quarter of Fiscal 2005

Edelbrock Corp. has reported sales and earnings for the first quarter of its 2005 fiscal year, which ended on Sept. 25. For the first quarter, Edelbrock reported that revenues decreased 5.9 percent to $26,032,000 from revenues of $27,658,000 in the same period a year ago. Net income for the quarter was $350,000, or 6 cents per diluted share, compared to net income of $467,000, or 9 cents per diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2004.

Corteco ‘Seal the Deal’ with Edelbrock

Corteco USA has announced that it will give away Edelbrock performance engines in a special promotion. “We’ll have two separate drawings,” said Pat Lynch, Corteco’s manager of product marketing. “The first will be at the AAPEX Show in Las Vegas on November 3 and the second will be at the PRI Show in Indianapolis on December 10.”

Edelbrock Revises Earnings From Sept. 10 Report

Edelbrock Corp. has revised its earnings for the quarter, which ended June 30, as previously reported on Sept. 10. The revised results will be reflected in the company’s annual report on Form 10-K which was filed yesterday, Sept. 28.

Edelbrock and Lingenfelter Partner on New LS1 Series Cylinder Heads

Edelbrock Corp. and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) are partnering on a new line of cylinder heads for LS1 engines. Prototypes of the cylinder heads will debut in the Edelbrock booth (#22243) at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas on Nov. 2-5.
