Edelbrock Awards First Vic Edelbrock Sr. WyoTech Scholarship

Vic Edelbrock, president and CEO of Edelbrock Corp. has established his third scholarship program for students pursuing a career in the automotive industry. This week, Edelbrock announced the establishment of the Vic Edelbrock Sr. WyoTech Scholarship. WyoTech is a national technical college that offers a specialized automotive curriculum, including training in street rods, custom trim and upholstery, diesel, service management and collision/refinishing. The school has six campuses in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Wyoming and California.

Edelbrock Corp. Reports Results for Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2004

Edelbrock Corp. has reported sales and earnings for its fiscal 2004 fourth quarter and year, which ended on June 30. For the quarter, which ended on June 30, revenues totaled $38,030,000 as compared to revenues of $32,678,000 in the same period of fiscal 2003. Net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004 was $1,320,000, or 24 cents per diluted share, compared to net income of $709,000, or 13 cents per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2003.

2004 Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship Award Recipient Named

This week Vic Edelbrock, Jr. carried on a proud tradition for his family-owned business — the presentation of its annual scholarship award. Edelbrock gave automotive student Casey Cox a check for $5,594 as the recipient of the 2004 Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship Award. Cox, 19, of Hays, Kan., is a student at the Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland, Kan.

Edelbrock Approves Merger Agreement for Going Private

Edelbrock Corp. and the company’s chairman, president and CEO Vic Edelbrock, Jr., have announced a merger agreement providing for the company to go private, through the acquisition of all outstanding shares of common stock of Edelbrock Corp. not already owned by Edelbrock and his affiliates. Edelbrock and his affiliates currently own approximately 51.1 percent of the issued and outstanding common stock of Edelbrock Corp. Following the acquisition, Edelbrock and his affiliates expect to own all of the outstanding shares of Edelbrock common stock, which will no longer be publicly traded.

Second Annual Edelbrock Automotive Scholarship Winner Named

A senior at South Torrance High School has been selected as the recipient of the second annual Vic & Nancy Edelbrock Scholarship for excellence in automotive technology. Prouty becomes the first female recipient of the award. After graduation, she will attend Wyo Tech, a technical school with campuses in Wyoming, Pennsylvania and Sacramento, California.

Edelbrock Reports Improved Sales and Earnings for Third Quarter

Edelbrock Corp. has reported an improvement in sales and earnings for its fiscal 2004 third quarter and nine months which ended on March 25. For the quarter, revenues increased 11.3 percent to $28,551,000 from $25,658,000 in the comparable period of fiscal 2003. Net income for the third quarter of fiscal 2004 increased to $905,000, or 16 cents per diluted share, from net income of $210,000, or 4 cents per diluted share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2003.

Edelbrock Expands Product Offerings with 2004 Russell Performance Catalog

Edelbrock has announced the availability of the 2004 Russell Performance Catalog, filled with more than 300 new automotive fluid transfer products and updates. The 62-page, 4-color catalog has 307 new part numbers, with increased selections for sport compact cars, including items like manifold fittings and turbocharger fittings.
