Precision Fleet Brakes Expands Cryogenic Brake Processing Capacity

AUSTIN, Texas — Precision Fleet Brakes has expanded its cryogenic brake processing capacity, as a result of increased customer demand.

“Our fleet customers are interested in keeping their vehicles on the road longer between brake jobs. Because of the increasing interest in brake rotors and pads with a vastly extended life, we expanded our state-of-the-art cryogenic processing system to accommodate that demand,” said Zane McCarthy, president and CEO of Precision Fleet Brakes. “The longer life of our products along with the reduced downtime and replacement costs result in a 40 percent lower per-mile cost in parts and a 60 percent lower per-mile cost in labor.”

Precision’s cryogenically processed brake components are treated through the use of very low temperatures and have an extended life of up to four times longer than original equipment, according to the company.
