Power Heavy Duty Network Expands Footprint in 2023

Today, the network represents 930-plus North American locations.

Power Heavy Duty added 18 distributors this year, bringing its network to a record 224 locations throughout the U.S. Its accelerated growth helped expand the footprint of the VIPAR Heavy Duty Family of Companies, which acquired Power Heavy Duty in 2014. Today the network represents over 930-plus North American locations.

“As we enter the new year and the 35th anniversary of VIPAR Heavy Duty and the 30th of Power Heavy Duty, we celebrate a historic period of growth and achievement,” said VIPAR Heavy Duty president and CEO Chris Baer. “While we continue to strategically grow our Power Heavy Duty network, our members are also enjoying expansion by adding new locations, more product lines, increasing their customer base, and profitability. For us, our distributors, supplier partners and end-user customers, it’s a great time to be in the heavy duty truck parts business,” Baer continued.

The 18 new Power Heavy Duty members – geographically spanning coast to coast – represent more than a 25 percent expansion in network locations since 2020. The new Power Heavy Duty members added this year are:

  • B Truck & Trailer (Texarkana, Texas)

In addition to Power Heavy Duty members, the VIPAR Heavy Duty Family of Companies includes more than 110 VIPAR Heavy Duty distributors with 700-plus locations. Power Heavy Duty and VIPAR Heavy Duty combined have nearly 600 service and repair locations.

“Our focus is, and always will be, in serving end-user customers with high-quality parts and best-in-class service,” said Jim Pennig, vice president of business development for the VIPAR Heavy Duty Family of Companies. “Our extensive network provides fleets and owner-operators greater convenience for sourcing industry-leading brands and service,” Pennig continued.
