Polar Corp. Acquires Beall Parts And Service Business

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Polar Corp. announced that it has acquired the assets of Beall Transport Equipment Co. (BTEC), the aftermarket parts and service division of Beall Corp.
 
The transaction closed Feb. 1; financial terms were not disclosed. Beall Corporation has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since September 2012.
 
Polar Corp. is comprised of three divisions: Polar Tank Trailer, one of North America’s largest producesr of dry and liquid bulk tank trailers; Polar Service Centers, a national parts, service, and sales network for all makes of heavy-duty vehicles and commercial tanks; and Rockwell American, a manufacturer of parts and components for the light-duty trailer industry.
 
BTEC has branches in Denver; Salt Lake City; Los Angeles; Phoenix; Portland, Ore.; Kent, Wash.; and Billings, Mont. The business will join the Polar Service Centers national network of parts and service locations. Branches in Portland, Phoenix, and Billings will be integrated with existing facilities currently operated by Polar’s service, parts, and equipment business known as Polar Service Centers.
 
“With stable financial footing, these former Beall branches will have more flexibility to deliver the high-quality service that Beall customers have come to appreciate over the years,” said Ted Fick, president and CEO of Polar Corp. “Meanwhile, Polar customers will benefit from the high level of competency and experience of Beall technicians. Their expertise is exceptional within the commercial tank industry and we’re excited to bring them into the Polar family.”
 
Fick said the Beall locations align well with Polar Service Centers and its independent dealers, especially in the Western United States. Together, the organizations will provide commercial tank carriers with the most comprehensive aftermarket parts and service network in the industry, he says.
