ATD Names Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel Executive

American Tire Distributors (ATD), one of the largest independent tire distributors in the U.S., has named Carol Genis, formerly with Twentieth Century Fox Television, as its new chief legal officer and general counsel executive. Genis has significant experience in distribution, licensing, data and privacy, employment, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and general corporate matters. As new chief compliance officer and general counsel executive, Genis will continue building on ATD’s strong momentum through her breadth of legal expertise. In her new role, Genis will report to ATD President and CEO Stuart Schuette.

IMR Inc. Names New Senior Research Analyst

MR Inc., a full-service automotive market research firm, has recently hired Barlo Hardin as senior research analyst. Hardin brings significant experience in category management to his new role, previously serving as a category manager for an aftermarket manufacturer’s representative company for the past six years. His growth-focused approach has helped some of the aftermarket’s largest retailers increase business by analyzing do-it-yourself and do-it-for-me trends, private label growth and inventory trends. He also played a major role in reporting retail-specific sales against national trends in his previous position, working with some of the largest parts manufacturers, retailers and warehouse distributors in the world.
