ACC Announces 2008 Automotive Scholarship Recipients
The Automotive Communication Council (ACC) has announced the winners of its two scholarships in the annual Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium Scholarship (GAAS) program. The ACC is a professional organization comprised of individuals in the automotive aftermarket specializing in marketing communications. The scholarships were earmarked for students focusing on marketing, public relations, journalism, advertising or a related field within the aftermarket. This year’s winners will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Bosch Acquires Accu Industries
The Bosch Group is acquiring the operating assets of Accu Industries Inc., located in Ashland, VA. Accu Industries employs 45 associates and generated sales of roughly $16 million in 2007. The company sells tire changers, wheel balancers and wheel alignment equipment. With the acquisition, Bosch is strengthening its automotive aftermarket division and further expanding the workshop equipment business of its diagnostics business unit.

Valvoline and Eaton Corp.’s Hydraulics Operations have introduced a new premium hydraulic fluid, the first anti-wear, high-performance hydraulic fluid designed by a major manufacturer of hydraulic systems and equipment. Valvoline and Eaton’s Premium Hydraulic Fluid is a premium blend of additives blended with a base stock of selected mineral oils that is intended primarily for industrial applications. LEXINGTON, KY — Craig Moughler, senior vice president of international channel development for Valvoline, will relocate from Valvoline World Headquarters in Lexington, KY, to Shanghai, China.
