Visteon has been recognized by two separate organizations for its commitment to fostering diversity with employees and suppliers. Visteon earned the top rating of 100 percent in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Visteon was one of eight automotive companies and the only first-tier auto supplier among 259 U.S.-based companies earning top marks for their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. today officially unveiled the Goodyear Racing and Diversity Program, an initiative the company started to provide high school students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the many career paths offered through the sport of NASCAR. Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier of NASCAR’s three largest series. The program, offered in Daytona Beach, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit and Dover, DE, will provide more than 60 interested minority students annually with a graduated program of at-track experiences, internships and ultimately, the opportunity to receive one of six scholarships to help continue their education.

Johnson Controls Named ‘Corporation of the Year’ for Diversity Efforts

Johnson Controls was recently selected as "Corporation of the Year" for 2006 by the Central and South Texas Minority Business Council (CSTMBC) for its outstanding achievements in developing diverse supplier companies. Representatives from CSTMBC presented Johnson Controls with the top honors at the group’s 2006 Awards Banquet earlier this month.
