APRA Announces Officers For 2012-2013 Term
APRA’s new chairman is Nick Staub, president of Romaine Electric in Kent, Wash. Joining Staub will be Vice Chairman Joe Kripli, WABCO Reman Solutions, Rochester Hills, Mich.; Treasurer Tim Roth, SRC Electrical, Springfield, Mo.; and Secretary Omar Cueto, L&J Diesel Service, Jacksonville, Fla.
Steve Dwoskin Receives APRA’s Distinguished Service Award
Dwoskin, executive vice president of sourcing for WAIglobal, in Exton, Pa., was presented with the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association’s Distinguished Service Award on Oct. 29, during the APRA International BIG R Show in Las Vegas.
Kenneth Turner Receives APRA’s Distinguished Service Award
The award honors Turner for “Distinguished Business Statesmanship and Dedicated Service Rendered to the Entire Industry of Automotive Parts Remanufacturing.”
Peter Bain Recognized With APRA Honorary Member Award
Bain, president of Rand Premium Electronics in Miami, Fla., was acknowledged for serving as APRA’s Chairman in 2008 and for his many years of service to the Electrical Division of APRA.
Nick Staub Becomes APRA Chairman
Staub stated, “This is quite an honor. My father, John Staub, was chairman of APRA back in 1986, and was a member of APRA since 1948, so it is really nice to follow in his footsteps.” Nick and John are the third father and son team to have held the chairman position in APRA.

APRA has joined with Automechanika Shanghai as the co-organizers of this International Remanufacturing Forum, which will be held just prior to Automechanika Shanghai taking place Dec. 11-14, 2012.
APRA Signs Cooperation Agreement With CICEIA
The China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (CICEIA) and the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) have entered into a cooperation agreement to promote more remanufacturing in both China and the U.S.
