SHANGHAI, China William Gager, president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), has announced that an “International Remanufacturing Forum” will be held on Dec. 10, 2012, in Shanghai, China. APRA has joined with Automechanika Shanghai as the co-organizers of this International Remanufacturing Forum, which will be held just prior to Automechanika Shanghai taking place Dec. 11-14, 2012.
Gager stated, “APRA is pleased with the strong support of our forum and the Remanufacturing Pavilion within the exposition by the Automechanika Shanghai Team. This is a win-win for both organizers, as we both work toward encouraging more remanufacturing in China for that country’s own growing demands for environmentally friendly and reasonably priced products. China’s vehicle population is over 85 million and growing rapidly as they now produce more vehicles than the USA. The natural next-step will be a growing remanufacturing industry within China as their vehicle population ages.”
Joining the two organizers as co-sponsors of the forum will be the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (CICEIA), APRA’s European Division, the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG) and APRA’s new Asia Pacific Division. The International Remanufacturing Forum will be held on Dec. 10 at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel, which is a short distance from the exposition hall that will hold Automechanika Shanghai.
APRA, along with the association’s Asia Pacific Division, will be co-sponsoring the Remanufacturing Pavilion at Automechanika Shanghai on Dec. 11-14, 2012. So far, the following APRA member companies have signed up for the Reman Pavilion: Autoenterprises Ltd.; D & V Electronics Ltd.; Eurolec Components Ltd.; Goldfarb & Associates; Knopf Automotive/Saginaw Steering; MCI Cores and Rebuilders Automotive Supply.
