Mariam had been a staunch supporter of APRA, having volunteered his time and service since 2005 as the Manufacturer Supplier Representative to the Executive Committee. His positive outlook and giving nature made him a natural when it came to bringing in new exhibitors to the BIG R Show or helping staff liaison with members. Mariam knew everybody in the industry and was always willing to lend a hand and be the voice of reason.

Shingo Komatsu Receives APRA’s Distinguished Service Award

The award honors Komatsu for “Distinguished Business Statesmanship and Dedicated Service Rendered to the Entire Industry of Automotive Parts Remanufacturing.” Komatsu has been a leader in the Japanese remanufacturing industry and a solid contributor to APRA’s growth in Asia over the past 35-plus years.

Sandra Standley Recognized With APRA Honorary Member Award

Standley, president of Power Brake Sales in Sacramento, Calif., was acknowledged for serving as APRA’s chairman in 2009 and for her many years of service to the Heavy Duty Brake Division of APRA, where she served as chairman from 2001-2005. According to APRA, Standley has always worked hard to strengthen the remanufacturing industry, donating her time and energy whenever needed.

The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), the global association for remanufacturers all over the world, and Amsterdam RAI, owners and organizers of ReMaTec, the world’s largest remanufacturing show, have announced a new partnership to organize a new comprehensive show for automotive and heavy-duty remanufacturing in the U.S. The first edition will take place Nov. 1-3, 2014, in Las Vegas.

Davis Appointed Interim Chairman Of APRA Asia Pacific Division

Davis has been an active member of APRA having served as chairman of APRA in 2010. He also has been a member of the APRA board of directors since 2006. Davis served as the chairman of APRA’s Electrical Division for several years prior to coming on the APRA Board. Davis also serves on the current Electrical Division Board of Governors and is instrumental in planning the program of activities for the division.
