The Automotive Oil Change Association (AOCA) has announced its official endorsement of the Car Care Council’s “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign. The Dallas-based Automotive Oil Change Association is a non-profit trade organization representing the convenient automotive maintenance industry. Automotive Oil Change Association to Hold Manager Seminar

The Automotive Oil Change Association (AOCA) will hold its first Manager Seminar of 2005 on March 22-23 in Dallas, Texas. The seminar will take place at the Holiday Inn Select North Dallas. The two day course will be taught by AOCA member Ricky Price, an experienced fast lube operator, who will share his knowledge and expertise, as well as facilitate interaction among the attendees. Topics to be covered include: leadership, training, team building, finding and hiring the right employees, service standards, safety and regulatory compliance and advertising.

Car Care Council Women’s Board Announces Winter 2005 Meeting

The Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) will hold its annual winter meeting January 26-27, 2005, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The meeting will consist of a day and a half of strategic planning geared toward the development of female-focused industry programs. It will include a “Meet a Member” presentation by Sue Ackley, president of the Automotive Oil Change Association (AOCA), an update on the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign and a presentation by Trish Serratore of ASE.
