Earlier this week it was announced that the U.S. Federal District Court in the District of Columbia has granted the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) request for a preliminary injunction temporarily enjoining CCC Information Services and Mitchell International from closing their previously announced merger.

CCC Information Services Inc., of Chicago , Ill. , and Mitchell International, Inc., of San Diego , Calif. , have signed a definitive agreement under which they will combine in a merger-of-equals transaction valued at $1.4 billion. American Car Care Centers Inc. (ACCC) and CARQUEST Auto Parts have formed a new strategic marketing partnership that will be marketed by ACCC as MaxPak. MaxPak will include training and education and an insurance offering, among other services.
