CCC Announces Recipients of Second Annual Scholarship Fund

CHICAGO — CCC Information Services has announced the recipients of its second annual scholarship program, totaling $25,000. Working in conjunction with the I-CAR Education Foundation, students from five schools were selected for the scholarships, chosen for their academic achievement, attendance and dedication to the collision repair industry.

CCC also announced that it has renamed its scholarship program the Michael Salvatore Outstanding Student Technician Scholarship to honor the longtime employee, industry participant and education advocate.

The 2007 Michael Salvatore Outstanding Student Technician Scholarship recipients are:

* Brian Miller and Cody Tea, attending Bridgerland Applied Technology College, Logan, Utah;

* Jeremy Lick, attending Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, WI;

* Brian Cobb, attending Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, TN;

* Wilmer Kuhns, attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA; and

* Colby Rimes, attending Universal Technical Institute in Houston, TX.

"CCC is pleased to recognize these deserving students for their excellence in collision repair-related coursework," said Jim Dickens, senior vice president of CCC. "We reviewed many applications and had a very difficult time determining the 2007 recipients. The industry can be encouraged by the talented group of people who are eagerly learning the collision repair business in these schools."

Michael Salvatore, a longtime employee of the CCC, body shop owner and advocate for continuing education in collision repair, will be remembered for his contributions to the collision repair industry. "Michael was an important contributor to CCC for the 11 years he worked with us; however, his real passion was education," continued Dickens. "Mike worked with I-CAR and many other organizations and individuals to make quality collision repair education available to those with the desire to learn and improve their skills. To honor his commitment, CCC is proud to put his name on this scholarship program."
