Keystone Automotive Industries Reports Fourth Quarter, Year-End Results

Keystone Automotive Industries has reported results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year, which ended on March 26. The company said it surpassed the $500 million sales milestone for the year. Keystone distributes products primarily to collision repair shops through 125 distribution facilities, located in 38 states and Canada. The company’s product lines consist of automotive body parts, bumpers and remanufactured alloy wheels, as well as paint and other materials used in repairing a damaged vehicle.

PERA Launches New Online Information Service

The Production Engine Remanufacturers Association (PERA) is unveiling a new online information service for the custom, production or do-it-yourself engine remanufacturer or rebuilder. The new service — www.EngineDataSource.com — is now being launched in a beta-release, with the official launch taking place on October 1.

He comes from Forecast Products where he served as vice president, general manager for the company, with a focus on importing and distribution of automotive components, since 2002. Prior to that assignment, he worked with Beck/Arnley from 1976 to 2001.

A&A Midwest/Enginequest to Partner with Australia’s Toowoomba Metal

A&A Midwest/Enginequest, a parts dealer that buys, processes and sells drive train components for the automotive remanufacturing and recycling industries, has entered into a long-term exclusive trade agreement with CMI Operations Pty Ltd., trading as Toowoomba Metal Technologies. Toowoomba Metal Technologies is the largest independent foundry and machining facility operating in Australia, and the original manufacturer of the Lighting Performance Cylinder Head product.

Gessford Machine Inc. Named 2004

George Anderson, owner of Gessford Machine in Hastings, Neb., has been named the 2004 “Machine Shop of the Year” award by Engine Builder magazine and the Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA). AERA is a not-for-profit trade association, serving the engine rebuilder/remanufacturing industry, machine shops, equipment, parts and services suppliers since 1922.

Victor Reinz Names Machinist of the Year

Victor Reinz has named its Victor Reinz Machinist of the Year. Along with the AERA and the ASE, Clevite Engine Parts established the Victor Reinz Machinist of the Year Award in order to recognize the valuable contributions machinists make to the automotive rebuilding industry. This year’s award was presented at the AERA New Products Showcase in Las Vegas, Nev. on April 23, 2004.
