Action Group Calls for Review, Feedback of Draft RFP for Light-Duty Hybrid Work Trucks
The Light-duty Hybrid Work Truck Action Group has announced that it is seeking potential vendors and interested parties to review and provide feedback on a draft request for proposal (RFP) for light-duty (Class 3-4) hybrid work trucks. This draft RFP represents two years of research and input from a wide cross-section of private and municipal fleets to promote the development of hybrid vocational trucks for service and government applications. Typical applications for these vehicles would include heavy service vans, light-utility trucks, light-stake body and platform trucks, and light dump trucks.

The Work Truck Show 2006 Breaks Records
The Work Truck Show 2006, held in conjunction with the 42nd Annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) convention, together boasted more than 7,000 attendees of premier industry professionals involved in buying, selling or using work trucks and equipment. Attendees had the opportunity to meet with nearly 471 industry suppliers, participate in 35 educational sessions and see the latest developments in commercial trucks and transportation equipment from Classes 1 through 8. The events were held March 1-3 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
Green Named National Truck Equipment Association’s 42nd President
Robert Green has been installed as 42nd president of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA). Green is president (and co-founder) of his own firm — Robert Green Truck Div., Inc. in Rock Hill, NY. The company — which joined the NTEA in 1990 — is a full-line truck upfitter that includes snow and ice control equipment, cranes, hydraulic systems, service bodies, dump bodies and more. Green was installed earlier this month during the NTEA’s President’s Breakfast and Annual Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
National Truck Equipment Association Releases Annual Manufacturers Shipments Survey
As a provider of market data and research to its members, the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) recently released the sixth Annual Manufacturers Shipments Survey (AMSS) to companies that participated in the study.
