PPG Names Two New Vice Presidents
PITTSBURGH — PPG Industries has named two longtime PPG executives to new vice president posts. Charles Kahle II, director, coatings research and development, has been appointed vice president, coatings research and development. Kahle joined PPG in 1987 as a research associate in coatings after earning his doctorate in organic chemistry at the University of Illinois.

ArvinMeritor Provides Updated Financial Outlook
Yesterday at the Deutsche Bank Leveraged Finance Conference in Scottsdale, AZ, Mary Lehmann, ArvinMeritor’s treasurer and senior vice president, Strategic Initiatives, told investors that the company is revising its forecast for diluted earnings per share from continuing operations. Jim Donlon, executive vice president and chief financial officer, who also attended the conference, said the company is experiencing the results of a "weaker than anticipated economic environment" in its Commercial Vehicle Systems business group.

AMRA Announces Retirement of Larry Hecker
The board of directors of the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA) has announced the retirement of Executive Director and President Larry Hecker. Hecker will step down effective June 30, 2008, after 14 years with the association. Hecker will also be retiring from his leadership post at the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP), a subsidiary of AMRA, at the same time.
TI Automotive Wins $173 Million in New Business
WARREN, MI — TI Automotive has been awarded contracts totaling more than $173 million in combined lifetime sales by three global automakers.
