Founding Federated Member Fisher Auto Parts Merges with Hayden’s Auto Supply

Fisher Auto Parts, the founding member of Federated Auto Parts, has merged with Hayden’s Auto Supply; it was announced today by Charlie Hayden, president of Hayden’s Auto Supply, Inc. and Bo Fisher, CEO of Fisher Auto Parts. Hayden’s Auto Supply, Inc. headquartered in Leonardtown, MD, was founded in 1962 by Frank Hayden and joined the Federated Auto Parts programmed distribution group in 1999.

STAUNTON, VA – Fisher Auto Parts, the founding member of Federated Auto Parts, has merged with Hayden’s Auto Supply; it was announced today by Charlie Hayden, president of Hayden’s Auto Supply, Inc. and Bo Fisher, CEO of Fisher Auto Parts.

“Given the high quality and reputation of the employees, we are especially pleased to add the Hayden’s four large stores to our company,” said Fisher. “Charlie and Brandon Hayden built a strong organization and Hayden’s Auto Supply has a long history of providing the best parts and service to their customers. We are honored that they will continue to lead the way in this market area.”

Hayden’s Auto Supply, Inc. headquartered in Leonardtown, MD, was founded in 1962 by Frank Hayden and joined the Federated Auto Parts programmed distribution group in 1999.

“This is an exciting time for us,” said Hayden. “Fisher Auto Parts will give us the strength and ability to provide our customers with an even higher level of service. Customers can continue to be served by the same local people, combined with the systems and services of one of the country’s leading privately owned auto parts distribution chains.”

The Fisher Auto Parts acquisition of Hayden’s Auto Supply is in addition to other new store openings in Virginia, West Virginia, Vermont and Illinois during 2007. According to the company, more plans for expansion are projected in the near future.

Founded in 1929, Fisher Auto Parts currently operates 19 locations in Maryland and approximately 300 locations overall. Ranked as the industry’s eighth largest distributor, Fisher Auto Parts has more than 2,000 employees in 15 states.
