The Federal Highway Administration released its estimate for travel on all roads and streets for April 2020. Seasonally adjusted, it was down 41.2% compared to April 2019. The biggest drop came in the Northeast, where travel was down 46.7%, while the “best” was the South Gulf states, down 35.9%. Those numbers are expected to begin increasing again as many states emerge from Shelter-in-Place orders.
