OTC Releases Heavy-Duty Navistar Diesel Service Tools

The 13-tool release includes a rear seal installer, an injector puller and an EGR valve puller.

OTC announced the addition of 13 new heavy-duty Navistar diesel service tools to help technicians complete a wide range of repairs. Made from high-quality durable material, OTC’s new tools are designed to provide easier and simpler repairs, setting technicians up for success, the company says.

OTC’s latest tool release includes:

5851 Cam Gear Puller – A specially designed puller for removing the cam gear on select Navistar, MaxxForce, N9, N10 and DR engines. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4411.

5852 Piston Ring Compressor (4.589″) – A clamshell type piston ring compressor with a 4.589″ diameter. Assures proper piston installation while reducing the possibility of broken rings. Works on select Navistar MaxxForce, N9, N10 and 9000 engines. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4396.

5853 Rear Seal Installer – Designed to install and correctly position both crankshaft rear oil seal and wear sleeve on select Navistar, MaxxForce, N9, N10 and DT engines. The kit includes a 180mm adapter ring for 2010 and later engines. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4637 & ZTSE6054.

5854 Piston Ring Compressor (5.40″) – Clamshell type piston ring compressor with a 5.40″ diameter. Assures proper piston installation while reducing the possibility of broken rings. Works on select Caterpillar and Cummins engines. Similar to Porta-Tool OE tool number PT-7040.

5855 Rear Seal and Wear Sleeve Installer – The tools install and correctly position both crankshaft rear oil seal and wear sleeve. The set covers 156mm and 166mm OD seals for select pre-2004 and 2004-2007 Navistar DT and E engines. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4749 & ZTSE2535C.

5857 Pitman Arm Puller – Allows removal of pitman arms from most Sheppard M-Series Steering Gears. This tool works in conjunction with the pitman arm retainer, which works as a jackscrew to remove the pitman arm. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4439.

5859 Full Power Brake Bleeding Kit – For servicing the vehicle’s brakes, the kit includes Main Pressure Regulating Assembly with an integrated filter, Brake Bleeding Adapter, and Pressure Supply Valve Socket. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4757.

5861 Injector Puller – Used to remove the injector from the cylinder head on select Navistar MaxxForce, N10, N13, N9, and International A engines. Includes two Flange Nuts size M12 x 1.75. In addition, some engines may need part number 12-453-01-01 to assist with injector removal on engines equipped with a composite valve cover. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4770.

5863 Front Seal Installer – Installs the front seal and wear sleeve on select Navistar VT and MaxxForce engines. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4516

5865 EGR Valve Puller – Used to remove the EGR valve on select MaxxForce, N9 and N10 engines. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4941.

5867 Cab Mount Bushing Kit – Able to remove and installcab-mounting bushings on select Navistar bodies. Similar to Navistar OE tool number ZTSE4928.

5668 Universal Cylinder Liner Puller – Designed to be used with an impact wrench for quick cylinder liner removal. The spring-loaded puller arms automatically adjust to fit the liner for a fast set-up time. The low profile of this tool allows for work in areas where space is limited. The tool accommodates bore diameters from 3-7/8″ to 6-1/4″, sleeve depths to 15″, and liner wall thickness of 0.273″ min. Drive screw hex size; 1-1/8″. Works on select Mack, Volvo, Detroit Diesel, International, Cummins, Navistar and other Caterpillar engines. Similar to Porta-Tool OE tool number PT-6400-C.

5668-5 Small Foot Assembly Set – Optional puller feet for the 5668 Universal Cylinder Liner Puller for liner wall thickness of 0.148″ min. Set includes a pair of feet and mounting bolts. Works on select Cummins and Detroit Diesel applications. Similar to Porta-Tool OE tool number PT-6410-4A (2X).
