LONG ISLAND CITY, NY — BWD Automotive has been named the 2004 O’Reilly Auto Parts Vendor of the Year for Training and Technical Support, in conjunction with Murray Temperature Control. The announcement was made by O’Reilly Auto Parts during its annual manager’s conference recently held in Dallas, Texas.
The award was presented to BWD Automotive and Murray Temperature Control for fostering excellence in training and technical support, which included hands on clinics, technical hot-line support and training materials. BWD Automotive held 130 clinics in 2004, and trained 3,800 professional service technicians in engine management and temperature control seminars.
The award was accepted by Don Herring, vice president sales for Standard Motor Products, Dale Burks, vice president sales for Four Seasons and Don Walker, director of training for Standard Motor Products.
This is the fourth time in the past five years that BWD Automotive has won a major award from O’Reilly Auto Parts. Previous awards include the 1999 Vendor of the Year for Training and Technical Support, the 2002 Vendor of the Year, and the 2003 Vendor of the Year for Sales and Service Support.
“I would like to thank O’Reilly’s Auto Parts for recognizing our commitment to outstanding training and technical support,” said Herring. “I would also like to thank everyone who played a role in achieving this award. This was a team effort on all accounts, and I’m proud to work with such a dedicated team of professionals.”
