CHANTILLY, Va. A highlight of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group Summit, which will be held Jan. 21, 2013, in Las Vegas, will be a luncheon featuring the annual “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” Award. This annual award is presented to a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry. A committee will make the selection from among those nominated.
The winner of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year Award will join the past winners including those from: Precision Rebuilders, St. Clair, Mo.; Weller Truck Parts, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Meritor, Plainfield, Ind., Camerota Truck Parts, Enfield, Conn.; and Transaxle, Cinnaminson, N.J.
According to Gager, “Seven years ago, the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG) was formed to further the interests of the heavy-duty remanufacturer members of APRA. Both APRA and HDRG have benefited from numerous hard-working individuals who have helped in the creation of this group and we are more than pleased to be able to recognize one of them at our luncheon in 2013.”
Gager noted that a high percentage of APRA members participate in the heavy-duty marketplace and asked, what better way to recognize this fact than by initiating an annual “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” award? The registration fee for the HDRG Summit will include admittance to the luncheon.
“We hope all heavy-duty remanufacturers will show their support of the HDRG and understand the importance the heavy-duty commercial vehicle business plays in the total remanufacturing marketplace," Gager said.
The HDRG Summit takes place prior to the opening of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), which will be Jan. 21-24, 2013, at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
Nominations for the “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” Award may be directed to the attention of Bill Gager, president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) in Chantilly, Va.
