Women in Auto Care, a community within the Auto Care Association, is set to host its 2024 Leadership Conference from February 20 to 22 at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference, themed “Innovate and Impact,” aims to provide an engaging experience designed to empower and inspire leadership within the automotive aftermarket industry.
Before the conference, participants will start their journey with a personalized DiSC assessment, a tool for improving teamwork, communication and productivity in the workplace. This assessment, focusing on four personality profiles – Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness – will form the basis for various sessions during the event.
The conference will begin on February 20 with an opening reception and optional networking dinners. The second day, February 21, will feature a general session on DISC assessments titled “Communicating with Impact,” led by speaker Kim Kemp. This session will offer insights into effective communication strategies. Breakout sessions will follow, focusing on self-awareness and relationship building.
The final day, February 22, includes an “Unleashing Innovation” workshop, emphasizing collaborative brainstorming for innovation. In the afternoon a panel will discuss demystifying AI, followed by “Lightning Talks” offering tips on AI utilization, including professional AI headshots.
The conference will conclude with a keynote from Shari Pheasant, focusing on “Gaining Impactful Courage to Guide the Right Conversations.” Her session aims to inspire attendees to engage in crucial conversations with courage and impact.
Additional features of the conference include panels, industry trend discussions and leadership stories. A highlight of the event will be a dinner and live auction on Wednesday evening, supporting the Women in Auto Care scholarship program, followed by an afterparty.
Attendees will leave the conference equipped with a framework for collaborative brainstorming, actionable tips for crucial conversations, a personal AI headshot, their personalized DiSC assessment and a curated notebook containing key conference takeaways. This notebook is intended to serve as a valuable reference for the future.
Since 2012, the Women in Auto Care Leadership Conference has been accredited by Northwood University. Attendees are eligible to receive Continuing Education Units (CEU) credits towards their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations.
