FORT MYERS, FL — NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair, a developer and international supplier of auto rejuvenation products and processes, has expanded its relationship with DuPont.
Specifically, NeoMedia signed direct supply agreements with DuPont de Nemours (Belgium) BVBA and E. I. du Pont Canada Co. (DuPont Canada), both subsidiaries of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., for paint sourced from Belgium and Canada, respectively. NeoMedia has also signed a letter of intent with DuPont Canada, whereby the company will assist with the packaging, labeling and palletizing of NeoMedia’s automotive micro paint for sale by NeoMedia to its operations in China.
“It is very significant to our business that we purchase directly from DuPont, and have DuPont assist with the packaging for some of our products, in terms of cost savings and overall efficiencies in serving our clients,” said Paul Grzebielucha, vice president and general manager of NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair. “There are many more opportunities for further development activity in the cosmetic car repair arena, and NeoMedia is continuing to pursue them.”
The original agreement between DuPont and NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair signed in December 2005 gave NeoMedia the exclusive distributorship of DuPont’s automobile refinish paint to China for use by Automart body shops, a Beijing-based joint venture that specializes in automobile sales, financing, insurance and repair.
In line with the original agreement, DuPont was recently awarded the supply of its products to an initial 30 Automart facilities in China. NeoMedia will distribute the DuPont products to these facilities, with which it has just completed training on its Micro Paint Repair System. These business dealings follow a longer relationship in which DuPont has been a major supplier to NeoMedia micro paint products.
