Mitchell 1’s ProDemand Now Includes VIN Entry And New Quote Feature

The feature is included in the latest product release, which became available to all ProDemand subscribers on April 3.

POWAY, Calif. – Mitchell 1’s ProDemand repair, diagnostic and maintenance information product now includes Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) entry, making it easier for auto repair technicians to connect to the correct repair information for the vehicles in their bays.

“As vehicle complexity continues to increase, it becomes more difficult for technicians to ensure they are correctly identifying the vehicle and the information they need to complete the repair,” said Ben Johnson, director of product management for Mitchell1. “The ability to enter the Vehicle Identification Number, or transfer that from the shop management system, and have the system decode that to the correct year/make/model/engine configuration drives accuracy and efficiency in the work bay, which is always Mitchell 1’s focus.”

The feature is included in the latest product release, which became available to all ProDemand subscribers on April 3. Other enhancements in the release include a new quote generation module and reorganized menu items to improve workflow.

“We continue to refine ProDemand in response to customer feedback and changes in our industry,” said Gary Hixson, marketing manager for Mitchell 1. “Our customers told us they need both the ability to quickly look up parts and labor items and to convert those lookups to a professional quote. This version delivers those features, as well as a revised organization of the user interface to make the most popular features easier than ever to access.”
