LKQ Corp. Launches Government Sales Department

LKQ says the new program will enable government entities to save up to 40 percent or more on vehicle repair parts including wheels, lighting, sheet metal, bumpers, remanufactured engines and transmissions, paint and body supplies and other associated components.

CHICAGO — LKQ Corp. has created a new department to provide its products to state, local and federal government entities at competitive prices.

LKQ says the new program will enable government entities to save up to 40 percent or more on vehicle repair parts including wheels, lighting, sheet metal, bumpers, remanufactured engines and transmissions, paint and body supplies and other associated components.

In creating the new department, LKQ Corp. met with various government entities including city and county garages, state representatives, members of congress and governmental procurement decision makers, most of whom were unaware of LKQ’s competitive parts offerings, the company said.

LKQ added that discussions with government officials have given the company a deep understanding of the various entities’ product needs and requirements. For example, discussions with law enforcement led to creation of the Key-Cops Discount Automotive Repair Parts Program, which will supply competitively priced replacement parts for police cruisers.

"We have a solution that will significantly reduce repair costs for all governmental agencies and save taxpayer dollars without compromising product quality and vehicle safety," said Terry Fortner, LKQ’s vice president of industry relations and market development, who is leading the new Government Sales Department. "Our catalogue of 70,000-plus unique parts, geographic coverage of the entire country, excellent warranties and competitive pricing provide tremendous advantages over new original equipment company car parts."

Fortner added, "The savings over original equipment parts can be 40 percent or greater. Our dedicated staff is proud of this opportunity to be of service to our officials and the greater American public."

Government agencies may reach LKQ Corp. Government Sales at 877-339-2555 or [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].
