IPD Xtra Launches Globally To Respond To Customer Demand

IPD Xtra’s first partnership is with Maxiforce out of Miami, Florida.

This July, two of the biggest players in aftermarket engine components announced a new partnership between them making big news in the construction equipment industry. IPD (Industrial Parts Depot) headquartered in Torrance, California, a leading supplier of high-quality replacement parts for heavy-duty diesel and spark-ignited engines, launched a new brand called IPD Xtra that partners with outside companies to provide expanded product coverage to IPD customers. IPD Xtra’s first partnership is with Maxiforce out of Miami, Florida, providing IPD customers the most extensive Caterpillar coverage in the construction equipment market.

To roll out the program, IPD and Maxiforce decided to test the waters launching in North America. The response was extremely positive so IPD Xtra has expanded and is now available globally. Now customers everywhere in the globe can reach out to IPD’s customer service representatives and place orders the same way they order their other IPD parts – either by phone, email or they can use IPDNet, IPD’s online e-commerce portal, that is set up to handle IPD Xtra engine kits and individual parts.

“IPD Xtra is comprised of carefully selected partnerships with other manufacturers that share our commitment to quality and are a strong fit with the IPD brand. These partnerships will be chosen to expand IPD’s product reach in markets that complement our customers’ needs,” said Michael Badar, IPD president.

Working with Maxiforce expands IPD’s product reach to include engine parts for the small-bore construction and power generation markets. IPD now offers its customers engine parts as small as the Caterpillar 1.5, as large as the 3500, and all Cat engines in between. “This partnership provides IPD customers across the globe the most comprehensive replacement parts coverage in the construction industry – offering many hard to find engine kits,” added Ahmed Hassan, IPD’s director of international business development.

“Working with IPD is a true honor and a great opportunity for Maxiforce to break into new global markets with our unique Caterpillar line of engine parts. We are excited and ready to be the first brand to work with IPD Xtra,” said Paul Kelley, vice president of Maxiforce.

In the next year keep your eyes open for more partnerships to form under the IPD Xtra label.
