International Brake Industries (IBI) announced that Andy Mayfield has been named chief commercial officer, effective March 10, 2021.
Mayfield has served as IBI’s vice president of sales since 2018. During this time, he led the expansion of IBI’s product portfolio, introducing electric wear sensors and ABS sensors and growing coverage for pistons and brake lines. Mayfield has also focused on ensuring that every customer remains competitive and positioned for growth.
“As IBI continues to expand its global footprint, Andy will ensure our growing customer-base receives unrivaled support from our facilities in China, Mexico and the USA,” said Gary Cohen, president of IBI and CEO of Qualitor Automotive. “I welcome his expanded role as we continue to provide our customers the best quality and coverage in the industry.”
Mayfield joined IBI after 20 years of leadership in the automotive aftermarket. Before joining IBI, he served as vice president of domestic aftermarket sales at Gearbox Holdings. Prior to this role, he held sales management positions at Illinois Tool Works and Robert Bosch LLC.
