HDA Truck Pride Says EDI Solutions Integration Ahead Of The Curve

The initial roll-out to the membership was launched in January and was immediately embraced by more than 30 percent of the organization, the group says.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Last October, HDA Truck Pride announced a multi-year joint agreement with HDX Services and GCommerce. The initial roll-out to the membership was launched in January and was immediately embraced by more than 30 percent of the organization, the group says. The membership integration will continue throughout 2013.

According to HDA Truck Pride, the second phase of the integration focuses on vendors. Two key vendor partners, Timken and Grote, say they immediately recognized the importance and innovation of this program.

“HDA Truck Pride’s EDI Solutions is a key for all of us to gain operational efficiencies and business intelligence," said Tom Tecklenburg, director of commercial vehicle and automotive aftermarket for Timken. "Timken applauds HDA Truck Pride for bringing together HDX Services and GCommerce as partners to accomplish this multifaceted project and we are proud to be one of the first to support their technology strategy. This EDI Solutions project puts HDA Truck Pride ahead of the curve.”

“We want to recognize Timken and Grote for their vigilant efforts in supporting our program, especially from an IT resources and programming standpoint," said Bill Burns, COO of HDA Truck Pride. "We’ve begun our vendor integration with these two key manufacturers and will progress throughout 2013 and 2014 as our vendor partners realize the value of this EDI strategy. These things don’t just happen overnight, it will be a two-year process, but we are very pleased with our membership commitment and the positive response we have received from the vendor community. Our EDI Solution to automate the distribution chain from vendor to member to end user will provide savings in efficiency, accuracy and timeliness for all parties.”
