Good People, Good News: Randy Buller, CEO, Parts Authority

Today we launch “Good People, Good News,” where we highlight an individual in the aftermarket going above and beyond.

“Anyone can lead when the plan is working. The best lead when the plan falls apart.” – Robin Sharma.

As we continue our dedication to communicating #oursharedstory with AMN readers, sharing informative and inspiring stories from the automotive aftermarket during this challenging time, today we launch “Good People, Good News,” where we highlight an individual in the aftermarket going above and beyond.

One week ago, as the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread more aggressively here in the U.S. as well as across the globe, Randy Buller, CEO of Parts Authority, decided to do something.

Buller took to LinkedIn with a video he recorded from his home office and threw down the gauntlet.

“Steps need to be taken to ensure the financial well-being of our team. As a business leader, I am putting my money where my mouth is. Effective immediately, I am donating my salary for the rest of this year to help the Parts Authority family endure during these difficult times.”

Buller’s video announcement came with a challenge – the #coronadonorchallenge – by which he tagged several other industry leaders to step up the plate. Parts Authority also established a fund to allow other senior management and team members to donate to the extent they are willing and able.

“I think the average worker is going to need some hope in the next few months more than anything else,” Buller told aftermarketNews.

Please use the #oursharedstory hashtag on social media to help spread the word on the many creative and inspiring ways this industry is keeping connected during this challenging time.
