Spanesi Americas, a provider of collision repair equipment and technology, said it has earned global certification for its products by Ford Motor Co.

With the certification, Spanesi joins a prestigious list of tool-and-equipment providers that currently are in the Ford program.

In a letter dated April 2, Gerry Bonanni, FCSD Paint & Body senior technical engineer at Ford, wrote, “After our combined development and testing efforts at the Ford Paint and Body Technology Center, I am pleased to announce our continuing approval of Spanesi products: collision repair benches, electronic measuring systems, welding equipment, self-piercing rivet gun [and] all other Spanesi body-repair support products.”

Ford’s letter of North American and global certification of Spanesi products comes after a thorough evaluation of Spanesi equipment and tools.

“Spanesi is very proud to be included in Ford’s continued efforts to present OEM certified tools and equipment to the collision repair industry,” said Timothy Morgan, chief operations officer of Spanesi Americas. “For the past several years, we have been working diligently with our OEM partners to provide collision repair facilities tools and equipment that meet and exceed the requirements necessary to properly repair collision-damaged vehicles back to OEM standards.”

“We look forward to working with the Ford Motor Co. as we continuously provide innovative tools and equipment that meet the today’s tooling needs of our OEM partners and collision repair facilities.”
