THE WOODLANDS, Texas — FleetPride, an independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, has acquired Truck & Trailer Supply Inc., which has locations in Artesia and Roswell, N.M.

Truck & Trailer Supply was founded in 1980 by Gene and Kay Peterson and has grown into a successful and well respected business in the southeastern New Mexico market. FleetPride has extended employment to all of Truck & Trailer’s employees, including industry veteran Mark Peterson, who has been with the company since 1981. Peterson will continue as manager for the acquired New Mexico operations.

"Much of FleetPride’s future growth will be fueled by expansion into markets where we currently do not have representation. By seeking out companies such as Truck & Trailer Supply that have a strong existing client base, we can rapidly expand our national footprint," said Mike Paxton, FleetPride vice president of business development and strategic planning. "We are currently evaluating similar opportunities all across the U.S."

"Truck & Trailer Supply is a good, solid business with seasoned employees and a loyal customer base. FleetPride is known for fostering strong relationships with its employees, which is just one of the reasons why we are looking forward to welcoming the Truck & Trailer Supply team into the FleetPride family," said Steve Turnlund, FleetPride regional manager, Western Region.
