Enhanced ‘Three-Way Match,’ Offline Point Of Sale Now Available In Epicor Vision Software

Three-way match, which can help distributors save hundreds of hours annually in manual labor, automatically identifies mismatched units of measure, back orders, part number supersessions, price changes and incorrect core costs and enables the user to establish variance thresholds for monitoring and approving vendor payments, the company says.

DUBLIN, Calif. – Epicor Software Corp. has announced that an enhanced “three-way match” feature, offline point of sale functionality and other new capabilities are now available in Epicor Vision business management software for automotive aftermarket distributors and jobbers.

According to Epicor, the Vision software is a flexible solution for aftermarket business owners who want to control costs and increase sales through efficient inventory management and differentiate their businesses by delivering a superior customer experience.

The newest release of Epicor Vision includes several refinements to the three-way match feature that helps users quickly identify and reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, advance shipping notices, receivers and vendor invoices. Three-way match, which can help distributors save hundreds of hours annually in manual labor, automatically identifies mismatched units of measure, back orders, part number supersessions, price changes and incorrect core costs and enables the user to establish variance thresholds for monitoring and approving vendor payments, the company says. The new software includes refined error handling and error correction for ASNs and e-Invoices as well as easier tracking and processing of these electronic documents, according to Epicor.

“Distributors and jobbers remain strong not only through effective selling processes, but also smart, efficient purchasing and inventory practices,” said Steve Bieszczat, senior vice president, automotive and marketing, retail distribution solutions for Epicor. “Our three-way match feature enables users to avoid paying for products they haven’t received and eliminate potentially thousands of dollars of labor required to manually reconcile each transaction.”

Epicor Vision software now also enables users at remote locations to continue business operations after losing connectivity with their main servers. When Internet connectivity is restored, the remote server automatically updates the main server with transactions that occurred while offline. This offline point of sale capability can be added to any remote location.

Other new features and functionality available in the new release of Epicor Vision include:

· Automatic 5-cent price rounding for cash-only transactions in Canada (to address phase-out of Canadian penny)
· Ability to consolidate daily pick tickets by customer and map location into one master invoice and A/R record
· Enhanced “ABC” classification with option to use percentages or quantity breaks

Epicor Vision also includes customer relationship management (CRM) tools, a centralized database, comprehensive “central services” functionality, integrated accounting, and other features that help drive sales, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

“Each new release of Epicor Vision reflects the latest input from our users as well as our dedicated product development team,” Bieszczat said. “This powerful solution is designed by and for aftermarket distributors and jobbers who want to maximize their growth, efficiency and profitability over the long-term.”
