Eaton Names Jeff Liu General Manager Of Its Vehicle Group Operations In China

In his new position, Liu will be responsible for managing and growing Eaton's automotive, commercial truck and aftermarket components businesses in China.

SHANGHAI – Eaton has named Jeff Liu general manager of its Vehicle Group operations in China. He will be based in Shanghai and will report to Krishnakumar “K.K.” Srinivasan.
 
In his new position, Liu will be responsible for managing and growing Eaton’s automotive, commercial truck and aftermarket components businesses in China. He will direct strategic planning, strengthen organizational capability, develop industry partnerships, build customer relationships and foster a high-performance culture across Eaton’s vehicle operations in the region.
 
“Jeff is a proven leader with tremendous knowledge of the China market,” said Srinivasan. “His experience with Eaton and other companies in the region will accelerate Eaton’s growth in this key market.”
 
Liu joined Eaton in 2009 as the Asia-Pacific business unit manager for the company’s Filtration Division. Prior to joining Eaton, Liu worked for Agilent Technologies as regional sales director – Asia. He previously held leadership positions with General Electric Co., DHL Worldwide, Arthur D. Little and Johnson & Johnson Medical.
 
Liu holds a master’s degree in business administration and marketing from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a master’s degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Nankai University in Tianjin, China.
 
Eaton’s Vehicle Group, which develops and produces fuel-efficient technologies for the global automotive and commercial vehicle industries, has steadily expanded its footprint in China since opening a manufacturing facility in Shanghai in 1998. The Vehicle Group now operates four manufacturing facilities, an engineering lab and a research and development center in China to serve local and global customers, including Chery, Dongfeng, Great Wall, Hyundai, Shanghai General Motors and Volkswagen.
