PONTE VEDRA, Fla. – E3 Spark Plugs has hired Thomas Lubrano as the company’s new vice president of sales. Lubrano brings more than 35 years of sales management and marketing experience to this new role.

As VP of sales, Lubrano is tasked with developing sales strategies for the automotive, small engine and Powersport spark plug sales channels. He also will be working with the E3 management team to develop new markets, including E3’s entry into the glow plug diesel segment. Lubrano also will be responsible for directing E3’s network of sales representatives.

“E3 Spark Plugs has become a well-known name in the industry over the past few years, but we recognized that to become a leading brand, we would need to bring to our executive staff a seasoned sales veteran. It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Tom to the E3 team,” said Steve Joiner, E3′s vice president of marketing. "His stellar reputation, leadership skills and expertise in strategic planning and new business development were key factors in our hiring decision."

"I’m very excited to be part of the E3 management team," said Lubrano. "The E3 brand has really grown over the past several years, and I look forward to helping expand the distribution of E3’s patented technology into new and existing markets."

Backed by a five-year, 100,000-mile automotive warranty, E3 Spark Plugs feature the company’s patented side-wire electrode, which projects the combustion spark in a way that more quickly ignites the air/fuel mixture thereby creating a significantly faster and larger flame kernel, according to the company. In effect, this burns more of the available fuel, resulting in increased combustion efficiency for improved power and fuel economy with reduced emissions, the company says. They are now available for most automotive, small engine, and powersports applications at automotive and hardware retail stores nationwide.
