DST Unveils New Automated Email and Fax Options for its DSTWare Suite of Products

DST Inc. has launched new automated e-mailing and faxing options for users of its iSeries-based DSTWare suite of products. KeyesMail and KeyesFax were developed by Computer Keyes, a Woodway, Wa.-based software developer. Both KeyesMail and KeyesFax are full function automated packages for the iSeries systems.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — DST Inc. has launched new automated e-mailing and faxing options for users of its iSeries-based DSTWare suite of products. KeyesMail and KeyesFax were developed by Computer Keyes, a Woodway, Wa.-based software developer. Both KeyesMail and KeyesFax are full function automated packages for the iSeries systems.

KeyesMail can exchange Internet e-mail with attachments and automates the distribution of invoices, invoice reprints, statements, pickers, packers, quotes, service estimates and service invoices directly from DSTWare. The system provides the ability to automatically generate and distribute management reports via e-mail. It can also exchange e-mail through any network mail server available to the iSeries. E-mail can be retrieved from more than one mail server or network and can have multiple mail accounts for each connection. Inbound mail is automatically routed to the appropriate mailboxes within KeyesMail, or the system can be set up for automatic creation and sending of outbound mail only.

KeyesFax combines both a send and receive facsimile processing system with a complete image package plus an information manager. The image and fax KeyesFax software will edit, send, receive, display, print and track fax documents or images using any standard iSeries system without additional software. It reduces the need for printing because faxes can be displayed on the computer monitor.

A number of different methods are available for producing outbound fax documents. Management reports, invoices, statements, images or quick messages from any terminal using a message editor supplied by Computer Keyes can be faxed. The system will automatically convert and merge together the desired text and images. Any fax can be sent right away, scheduled for off-hours, consolidated with other faxes or sent to multiple destinations using phone number lists or distribution lists.

Inbound fax documents, such as orders, are brought into a receive queue on the iSeries. They can be quickly copied, routed, refaxed, viewed, downloaded or printed. Notes may be added to each received page that can be read or appended by anyone viewing the fax.

“Tremendous productivity gains can be achieved throughout the business processes of the parts supply chain with the use of DSTWare and the time and expense saving features of KeyesMail and KeyesFax are additional elements in the equation,” said DST President Ray Stover. “We’ve had feedback from users applauding how these options virtually eliminate the enormous amount of time and expense spent manually mailing, faxing, and e-mailing information and reports between businesses and their customers and between the various locations of multi-site enterprises.”
