Dorman Products, Inc. has released 400 new motor vehicle parts this month, broadening its offerings in the automotive aftermarket. Among the notable releases is a Dorman OE FIX exhaust manifold clamp repair kit. This kit, designed for approximately 3 million aging Ford and Lincoln vehicles, offers a time and labor-saving solution for repairing broken exhaust manifold fasteners, the company said. Unlike conventional repair methods that may require extensive labor, including removing the cylinder head, the Dorman kit simplifies the process and can be used without special tools.
Additionally, Dorman is introducing a new OE FIX engine heater hose assembly. This product is a response to the common issue of original equipment heater hose assemblies cracking in over 400,000 select Ford Fusion sedans. The new Dorman replacement features upgraded aluminum connectors, aiming to prevent similar failures in the future.
The company is also expanding its catalog with hundreds of new direct replacement parts and assemblies. These are designed to match or surpass the performance of original equipment offerings, Dorman said. Highlights from the December 2023 releases include:
- Two throttle body connectors, offering repair opportunities for 20 million GM and Ford vehicles.
- Three new turbocharger components, including an intercooler for 1.75 million GMC and Chevrolet vehicles. This addition extends Dorman’s line of turbo replacement and repair solutions.
- A wheel hub and bearing assembly repair kit for 1 million select late model Ram 2500 and 3500 series trucks. This kit is designed for convenience and time-saving, featuring components that match the fit and performance of factory assembly components.
The new products are part of Dorman’s range of replacement components and assemblies for various passenger and commercial vehicles.
