BETHESDA, Md. The Car Care Council recently received four awards from the North American Precis Syndicate (NAPS) for creating consumer feature articles that received an extraordinarily high volume of placements by America’s newspaper editors.
The article “Make Sure Your Lights Shine Bright” received top honors for generating nearly 3,000 newspaper stories. The three other articles that received certificates of excellence for generating stories in more than 2,600 newspapers were titled: “Potholes Pose Plenty of Problems,” “Has Your Car Been Feeling Left Out in the Cold?” and “Gas Prices: Don’t Panic, Get Perspective.”
“The fact that these four articles alone ran over 11,000 times in newspapers throughout the country demonstrates that the Car Care Council is providing the type of vehicle maintenance information that the consumer media wants to relay to its readers,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “We’re honored to receive these awards as they are a testament to the valuable service that our industry provides to motorists, keeping their vehicles safe, dependable and on the road longer.”
