Alliance Promotes Ethan Love, Josh Hessling to Senior Managers

The promotions were effective January 1.

The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc. announced that Ethan Love and Josh Hessling have both been promoted to senior managers, effective January 1, 2024. Both will continue to report to Dale E. Hopkins, CIO and vice president of information technology.

Love, now senior manager of business intelligence and data services, will continue to work with the Alliance Technology Suite including software, data, interchange and connectivity solutions for the automotive aftermarket and Alliance shareholder members including national accounts.

Hessling, now senior manager of content, will continue to manage his team of analysts in their efforts to support MyPlace4Parts, business consumer solutions and other IT point of sale systems in respect to content and data standards.

“Both Hessling and Love continue to excel in their responsibilities and have both built and manage excellent teams.” said JC Washbish, president of the Alliance.

Love joined the Alliance in 2014 as category analyst working in the Category Management Department. In 2018, Love was named business intelligence manager and moved to Information Technology where he reported to Hopkins. In 2023, Love was promoted to business intelligence and data services manager. Love holds a bachelor’s degree of arts in criminology and psychology from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio.

“There are many exciting opportunities within the Aftermarket, and I am honored to be a part of the growth here at the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance,” said Love. “I look forward to what this next year brings as we continue to drive our CVHD initiatives and expand our involvement with the Federated Alliance and the Automotive Parts Services Group.”

Hessling joined the Alliance in 2011 as data analyst, and then was promoted to data analyst II – eCatalog manager of accessories, supplies and tools, functioning as content manager. He is a graduate of Northwood University with a BA in Automotive Aftermarket Management and Business Management in 2010.

“I am thankful for the opportunity; it is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and support from the incredible team that I have the privilege to work with,” said Hessling. “Together, we will continue to strive for excellence and impact the industry while continuing to build and grow our Alliance non-app, HD, and othermotive catalog. I am grateful and look forward to the exciting journey ahead.”

“Josh Hessling and Ethan Love have both been integral members and team leads for the Information Technology department at Alliance HQ. They are forward-thinkers, strong communicators, and continue to accept and respond to new responsibilities,” said Hopkins. “Both have developed strong relationships with our Alliance shareholder members, their respective team members and stakeholders, as well as the part supplier and IT channel partner communities.”
