LONG BEACH, Calif. Two companies that provide important information about used vehicles have joined forces. Aim Mobile Inspections and Experian Automotive have teamed up with the goal of improving the information-gathering process for consumers buying or selling pre-owned vehicles.
AiM Mobile Inspections’ “AiM Preferred” package offers consumers in the market to buy or sell a used car the ability to order online both AiM’s 150-point vehicle inspection and Experian Automotive’s AutoCheck vehicle history report, which includes the industry’s first and only vehicle history score, according to the company.
“There’s a lot of apprehension associated with the car-buying process,” said Jim Yates, AiM president and CEO. “A car inspection report from AiM combined with an AutoCheck vehicle history report from Experian Automotive can reduce that anxiety and provide peace of mind, knowing you have all the necessary data to make a smart purchase.”
AiM Mobile Inspections is the consumer division of Alliance Inspection Management, one of the nation’s largest commercial vehicle inspection companies, which inspects 10 million vehicles annually. AiM Mobile Inspections says it has seen a steady rise in the number of private party inspections in its first year of operation.
AutoCheck vehicle history reports can help shoppers quickly and easily see that a vehicle is free of reported accidents, odometer issues, title brands, frame-damage announcements and other important information that will help buyers make a confident used-vehicle purchase, the two companies noted. Additionally, the companies said AutoCheck is the only vehicle history report with the AutoCheck Score, which helps consumers easily understand a vehicle history report and what it says about a specific used vehicle’s past.
“An AutoCheck vehicle history report, combined with a thorough inspection from a respected third party resource like AIM Mobile Inspections, is an important step in the used vehicle buying process, whether you are a retailer buying vehicles at auction or a consumer shopping for a vehicle online or at a dealership,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. “The combination of AutoCheck and AiM helps give consumers peace of mind that the vehicle is in sound mechanical condition and that they are making a wise vehicle purchase decision.”
The “AiM Preferred Car Inspection Package” includes an AutoCheck report, as well as AiM’s 150-point bumper-to-bumper car inspection and a vehicle test drive. The AiM Preferred Car Inspection Package retails for $149 per inspection.
