HORSHAM, Pa. – AAMCO, one of the world’s largest chains of transmission specialists and leader in total car care, has opened AAMCO University, a state-of-the-art training facility in Newnan, Ga. The center, 30 miles southwest of Atlanta, will provide current and future AAMCO technicians, managers and franchisees with service training through a best-in-class curriculum.
“The automotive repair industry is increasingly more complex as the car industry continues to evolve, and it’s essential that our AAMCO technicians continue to offer best-in-class service. We are committed to ensuring that our technicians have the training and expertise that our customers expect from our brand,” said AAMCO President and CEO Brett Ponton.
“The new training facility and enhanced curriculum at AAMCO University speaks to our commitment to provide industry-leading service throughout the AAMCO chain, offering a superb customer experience to everyone who walks through our doors.”
The complex will house training activities for AAMCO technicians, managers, as well as prospective, new and current franchisees. The educational facility offers both lecture and hands-on technical instruction with a state of the art theater-style classroom, as well as a full-service AAMCO center. The technology focused facility promotes “distance learning” via webcasts and offers the ability to record detailed hands-on “how to” videos for the thousands of employees who may not be able to attend a class at any given time.
In addition to courses at the world-class Newnan headquarters and training complex, AAMCO University currently offers more than 300 interactive courses via its online learning management system with many more in development. This comprehensive platform features webcasts, an extensive video library and real-time streaming of interactive sessions to thousands of franchisees and employees across North America.
The company says AAMCO University will continue to uphold the tradition of personal attention and service excellence that the brand has enjoyed for more than 50 years through in-field workshops and course offerings.
AAMCO University will provide prospective AAMCO franchisees a first look at the operation and its commitment to industry-leading advances and serve as the technical training center for both hands-on and distance learning via webcasts and a proprietary video learning series.
Accompanied by state and local dignitaries, AAMCO CEO Brett Ponton and Senior Management, along with franchisees from across the country, will celebrate the University opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1963 AAMCO Dr.
