Superior Distributors Marks 50 Years of Business

The company was established in 1962 by Howard Klein, with a pledge to provide customers with the highest level of service and value.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — Superior Distributors Inc., one of the industry’s leading heavy-duty parts distributors, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The company was established in 1962 by Howard Klein, with a pledge to provide customers with the highest level of service and value. In 1973, Richard Klein joined the company with the same dedication and passion to those core principles, and the company remains family owned today.

“We remain committed to those founding principles today, consistently providing the heavy- duty truck, bus and contractor fleets with the highest quality parts available,” said Richard Klein. “Fifty years is a testament to our loyal customer base, the support of our vendors and the work ethic of our employees. We are extremely proud to have reached this milestone and look forward to continued success in the years to come.”

To honor its customers, employees and vendor partners, Superior will be celebrating this milestone with an invitational reception in May.

The company says its motto ties everything together: "At Superior Distributors, ‘Our name is our motto – Superior’ to be the superior distributor to customers, vendors, and the industry." Superior Distributors is a member of HDA Truck Pride.
