FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — According to a new report from the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), the typical truck equipment manufacturer has $12 million in annual sales and 85 employees. Other such facts and figures can be found in NTEA’s recently released 2005 National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Manufacturer Employee Compensation and Benefits Report.
Featuring a wealth of information about compensation levels and benefit programs, the report provides detailed analyses of executive and employee compensation, including base salary, commission or bonus and benefit levels. Data is presented for the typical NTEA manufacturer member and by company sales volume category. Among the findings, 26 percent of survey respondents indicated that their organizations offer cash at year-end, and 61 percent provide educational assistance. The survey was conducted and compiled for the Association by Profit Planning Group, a research firm based in Boulder, Co.
According to NTEA, truck equipment manufacturers can use the report to gauge the competitiveness of their compensation packages. The information also helps companies prove their compensation packages are reasonable within the constraints of the Internal Revenue Code, the association said.
Participants in the survey have received the report at no charge. It is available to nonparticipating NTEA members for $50. Nonmembers may purchase a copy for $100.
