New Leaders to Join Tenneco’s Öhlins Racing Team

Marc McAllister and Tom Wittenschlaeger will help expand the Öhlins brand's presence in North America.

Tenneco announced the appointment of Marc McAllister as the new vice president and general manager of Öhlins Racing Team, succeeding Henrik Johansson, who retired after nearly 30 years with the team. Additionally, Tom Wittenschlaeger has been named the general manager for North America, a newly created position aimed at expanding the brand’s presence in the region.

McAllister and Wittenschlaeger will focus on growing the European brand’s global audience, particularly in North America, a market ripe with opportunities for the high-performance suspension brand, the company said.

Tenneco CEO Jim Voss expressed his excitement about the new appointments. “We are thrilled to have Marc and Tom join the Öhlins leadership team and help extend this exceptional product line to enthusiasts worldwide,” Voss said. He emphasized Tenneco’s commitment to investing in and supporting the growth of the Öhlins business, aiming to enhance the brand’s success with existing customers and reach new, underserved markets.

McAllister brings 30 years of experience in the powersports industry to Tenneco. He recently served as president and CEO of Tucker Powersports Inc., known for its delivery of powersports aftermarket parts, accessories and apparel. His career includes a nearly 25-year tenure at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, starting as a design engineer in 1995.

Wittenschlaeger’s background includes leadership roles at AYRO, Inc., a low-speed electric vehicle company, and Stator MicroMobility. He also has experience with FOX Factory, where he served as president of the power vehicles group and as chief strategy officer.

Voss said he believes Öhlins’ race-derived European suspension technology and Tenneco’s manufacturing expertise will provide an attractive new option for both OEMs and the aftermarket in North America.
