Nearly $600K Raised at AACF Golf Tournament

The funds raised will be directed toward AACF's mission of providing resources to aftermarket families facing hardships.

The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF), a 501c3 supporting people in the automotive aftermarket industry and their families during the hardest moments of their lives, hosted its Annual Bob Schoeberl Memorial Golf Tournament at the Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas. Now in its 31st year, the tournament was hosted during the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) show and the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).

The funds raised at the tournament, totaling nearly $600,000, will be directed towards the AACF’s mission of providing resources, guidance and financial support to individuals and families within the automotive aftermarket industry who are facing unexpected hardships.

AACF said the event brought together over 190 golfers from across the industry and more than 100 industry companies, all committed to making a difference in the lives of their colleagues in the automotive aftermarket facing dire circumstances.

“The generosity and unity displayed at the Annual Bob Schoeberl Memorial Golf Tournament are a testament to the industry’s unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need,” said Joel Ayres, executive director, AACF. “For more than 60 years AACF has been giving back to those who give so much to the automotive aftermarket industry. The momentum from our recent golf tournament and our very successful board meeting coupled with our ongoing commitment will continue to propel us forward and drive us to have an even larger impact.”

The festivities began with a cocktail reception providing industry leaders the opportunities to connect. The Spanish Trail Country Club, known for its 27-hole championship golf course, hosted the friendly team scramble game

Winners of the tournament include:

  • Sunrise/Canyon Course (SOLID START): Golfers included Fred Pascarella, Chris Baker, Rick Juarez and Ron Morrow.
  • Lakes/Sunrise Course ( API): Golfers include Tony Maddox, Jeff Kreitzman, Ben Shur and Mathew Harris.
  • Canyon/Lakes Course (ITW- Professional Automotive Products): Golfersinclude Kent Sheperd, Rick Moser and Brandon Gaugh Jr..

While in Las Vegas, AACF board members hosted their annual board meeting to look back at the prior year and plan for the year ahead identifying strategic initiatives in support of the organization’s mission and vision.
