HDA Truck Pride Announces Top Tech Competition Semi-Finalists

Six semi-finalists are headed to Maryland at the end of June.

For the fifth consecutive year, HDA Truck Pride has announced the top six semi-finalists of its Top Tech Competition.  Kicking off with a 50-question written exam, the six highest test scores advance to compete hands-on at the Maryland Motor Truck Association’s SuperTech qualifier at the end of June.

HDA states it was a tight competition, coming down to a tiebreaker, but these six semi-finalists are headed to Maryland in a couple months:

Eric Curler, RT &T Repair, East Dubuque, IL  
Brian Judy, RT &T Repair, East Dubuque, IL 
Joel Maassen, Vander Haag’s, Sioux Falls, SD

Garrett Olson, Vander Haag’s,Sioux Falls, SD
Joel England, Vander Haag’s, Spenser, IA

Jack Metzger, Vander Haag’s, Kansas City

Two of these top contenders will head to TMCSuperTech in Cleveland, Ohio in September to join other industry top technicians in a hands-on competition for prize packages valued over $8,000.
